Milford's Big Lunch

The countdown is on for residents of Yeovil's Milford area to join in a nationwide street party event to be held on Sunday 19 July.
The Milford Community Association, with support from South Somerset District Council, is encouraging people to join their neighbours for a special Eden project 'Big Lunch' event from 12-2pm at Milford Park, to put a smile on everyone's faces.

Residents are being invited to bring some food to share and even bring a talent if they have one; such as a guitar, juggling balls or whatever they enjoy doing.

The Big Lunch – which is sponsored by Mastercard – will take place in communities across the country at the same time, to encourage people to get together and celebrate all that is good about their communities.

The Milford Community Association – which was launched as part of South Somerset District Council's 'Planning for Real' consultation late last year – is leading the event and hopes are high for a full turnout.
