It is located just off the main A303 London/West Country Trunk Road and within easy access to the M5 and the south coast. For those travelling by train Yeovil Penn Mill Station is within a mile of the town centre.

The town centre offers a wide range of national and independent stores, and there are well-attended markets, including events with French and seasonal themes. Those looking for leisure and sporting facilities will find an indoor swimming pool, multiplex cinema, 2 theatres and many clubs and societies. Just a 5-minute walk from town centre is the award winning Yeovil Country Park with its breathtaking trail of woodland, waterfalls and lake, varied habitats, and hilltop views of the surrounding countryside – all easily accessible from a good network of paths.
