Yeovil Innovation Centre

A 5 million pound project to convert Yeovil's Bonsoir Factory into a new Business Innovation Centre has started. The existing factory building at the Copse Road site will be converted by local builders ROK. The Yeovil Innovation Centre, as it will be known, is designed to support and grow local small businesses and bring new hi-tech industries into the area. The centre will provide flexible office space and business suites with supporting communications infrastructure.

The Project has been developed and funded by a partnership comprising South Somerset District Council and Somerset County Council and the South West of England Regional Development Agency.

A steering group whose members include University Centre Yeovil, Somerset Business Link and the South West Inventors Club has also assisted the development of the Centre with a particular emphasis on the development of skills and knowledge based businesses.

Whilst building work progresses a specialist operator will be selected to manage the centre and work alongside Business Link and Yeovil College who will be provding support and services linked to the centre. To find out more, please see contact information below.

The Innovation Centre will offer:

  • flexible office space and business suites (25,000 square feet of floor space)
  • easy in, easy out rental terms
  • meeting rooms, hot desking and catering facilities
  • controlled access and site security
  • high speed broadband and high spec telecom connections.
