Somerfield

An important Town Centre site, which presents opportunities to revitalise the Eastern End of Yeovil following the closure and sale of the Somerfield Supermarket.

The site consists of 40,000 sq ft of retail space in a prime town centre location adjacent to South Western Terrace, which has already seen substantial improvement via a Property Improvement Grant scheme.

Stockland Halladale a newly established diversified property group acquired the site in October 2007.

The aim is for Yeovil Vision to work in a collaborative way with Stockland Halladale to secure the best future use of the building.

Benefits are expected to include:

  • revitalisation of the Eastern End of Yeovil
  • opportunity to build on success of South Western Terrace property refurbishments
  • potential to introduce a new range of exciting retail and restaurant occupiers.

We welcome feedback about any of our projects if you would like to leave a comment please email us enquiries@yeovilvision.co.uk.

Allan Lockhart of Stockland Halladale said, “Stockland Halladale has built up a wealth of experience in working with Councils on the redevelopment of town centre retail schemes for the benefit of the local community. The Somerfield site is another excellent opportunity for Stockland Halladale to apply that experience and we look forward to assisting in helping to regenerate Yeovil’s shopping facilities and attracting new occupiers to the town centre”.  Quote
