 Yeovil’s award winning “Green Flag Country Park is a unique asset and offers first class public access and amenity, particularly at Ninesprings and Penn Hill.
The potential for creating improved linkage between the Town and Yeovil Country Park is regarded as a major opportunity within the context of Yeovil Vision.
To capture this potential so that the town can take better advantage of its spectacular landscape setting, a broad pedestrian friendly “Promenade” space is proposed along the southern boundary of the Country Park.
The first section of this Promenade will be built as part of the Foundry House / Mill Lane development.
Opportunities also exist to consider the establishment of a Visitor Centre and to improve signage and gateway entrances.
